Our training is designed to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of Classical Pilates, mentoring you to become a skilled and knowledgeable teacher of the Method.
The foundation of our training lies in preserving the authentic teachings of Joseph Pilates, passed down through the lineage of Romana Krysonawska, through her trainees and then through your teacher trainer, Kim Paxton. We'll begin by exploring the history and philosophy of Pilates, delving into the principles that Joseph Pilates developed to create a balanced and harmonious body.
Throughout the program, you'll develop a deep understanding of the original Pilates exercises, their purpose, and their order. We'll emphasize the importance of precision and control in performing each movement, allowing you to embody the essence of authentic Pilates.
We'll place a strong emphasis on developing your own Pilates practice, we wholeheartedly believe that when you have the work in your body, you can more effectively communicate it to your clients. You'll also learn how to apply the principles of Pilates to various populations and adapt exercises to meet individual needs
Throughout the training, you'll have ample opportunity for hands-on teaching experience, which is a cornerstone of the Classical technique. We believe in the importance of practical application, and you'll have the chance to teach your peers under our mentorship and later in your training, low risk clients.
We offer several pathways of learning, so you can choose the commitment that’s right for you. Whether you are a Classical addict wanting to take your passion into teaching, or a contemporary instructor curious about the Classical system, we have the program for you.
“What surprised me about the program?… First of all my own body, how much it could change and grow and adapt, that was quite remarkable. The other thing was the amount of attention we got from Kim during the program”
